Newsletter

Newsletter - Modular Grid.jpg

COMPLETED: Winter 2023

DETAILS: This newsletter project was created for an ‘Intro to Graphic Design’ course, aiming to encourage campus involvement among Muskegon Community College students. While I didn't write the content, I designed the logos in Adobe Illustrator and organized them in InDesign, ensuring an authentic, non-generic feel that resonates with a Gen Z target audience. The design features vibrant, cohesive colors, a clean layout, and a readable sans-serif typeface. You can view the design here.

Company advertisement

COMPLETED: Spring 2024

DETAILS: This design, created in Adobe Illustrator for my ‘Introduction to Typography’ course, was developed for a fictional brand. I refined the messaging to be concise, humanized, and narrative-driven. I emphasized the owners’ commitment to their community as the core mission, aiming to make the business feel more like a community than a faceless brand. This is reflected in the circles, symbolizing unity, and the blue/green colors, representing trust and groundedness. I also incorporated a QR code to enhance their communication strategy. You can view the previous design here and improved design here.

Event marketing poster

Bluegrass Flier 3.jpg

COMPLETED: Spring 2024

DETAILS: This poster was designed in Adobe Illustrator for my ‘Introduction to Typography’ course, promoting a fictional bluegrass festival. The target audience is music lovers seeking a relaxing experience. I created a frog character with a banjo to attract attention and raise awareness. The design features a clear hierarchy, with the festival name, $12 price, and event date. The color palette of brown, turquoise, and green aligns with the event’s vibe. The text flows naturally, with plant illustrations guiding the viewer’s eye. You can view the design here.
